Mrs. Molene Vallen Walker
August 18, 1921 - July 26, 2010 Mrs. Molene “Dottie” Vallen Walker, age 88 of Cana, and formerly of Patrick Springs, passed away Monday, July 26, 2010 at the Woltz Hospice Home in Dobson, North Carolina. She was born in Patrick County on August 18, 1921 to the late Samuel David and Nora Bowling Cruise. In addition to her parents, Mrs. Walker was preceded in death by her husband, Garland A. Walker; four sisters, Texas Lawson, Gladys Smart, Loys Smithey and Nancy Rorrer; and four brothers, Pete, Eugene, Bowling and Sidney Cruise.
Mrs. Walker is survived by several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services for Mrs. Walker will be held Wednesday, July 28, 2010 at 11:00 a.m. at Moody Funeral Home in Stuart with Rev. Jim Churchwell officiating. Burial will follow in Patrick Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service on Wednesday at the funeral home.
