Joseph Kenneth Bledsoe

December 1, 1947 ~ July 7, 2018 (age 70)

Mr. Joseph Kenneth Bledsoe, age 70, of Dobson passed away at his home on Saturday July 7, 2018. He was born in Surry County to the late William Joseph Bledsoe and the late Mary Elizabeth Whitaker Bledsoe on December 1, 1947. He was a veteran of the US Army having served in Vietnam. Surviving are his son and fiancée Kenneth Darren Greenwood and Tabatha Pardue of Elkin; one granddaughter Hannah Greenwood and fiance Josh Handy of Mulberry, NC; three brothers, Willie Martin Bledsoe, Jr, Jerry Ray Bledsoe, Jackie Dean Bledsoe all of Dobson.  Funeral services will be held 2:00 PM Wednesday July 11, 2018 at Mt. Pleasant Baptist Church, with burial to follow in the church cemetery with Military Honors by Veterans of Foreign Wars Memorial Honor Guard Mt. Airy Post 2019 and Pilot Mountain Post 9436. The family will receive friends at Mt. Pleasant Baptist Church on Wednesday from 1:00 PM until the time of his service at 2:00 P.M. The family would like to give a thanks to Mountain Valley Hospice for the love and care given to their love one. Moody-Davis Funeral Home in Dobson is serving the Bledsoe family.
