Alice "Ophelia" Cox Smith

Mrs. Alice "Ophelia" Cox Smith age 68, of Claudville, Virginia passed away at her home on Saturday, August 30, 2014. She was born in Patrick County on June 11, 1946 to the late Porter Cox and Rena Love Cox. She was a member of Unity Church.

Mrs. Smith is survived by her husband, Charles L. Smith of the home; two sons and a daughter-in-law, Stephen and Robin Smith of Charlottesville, Virginia and Jonathan Smith of Pilot Mountain, North Carolina; two sisters and a brothers-in-law, Jeannette and Duaine Hooker of Westfield, North Carolina and Juanita and J. Stewart Heath of Claudville, Virginia.

A memorial service will be held on Wednesday at 1:00 pm at Unity Church with Pastor Buford Jessup and Jimmy Smith officiating. Burial will follow in Red Bank Primitive Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends Tuesday evening from 6:00pm until 8:00pm at Moody Funeral Home in Stuart, Virginia.
