Alene Lankford Tillis

Mrs. Alene Lankford Tillis, 95, of Hogansville died Thursday evening surrounded by her family at Hospice LaGrange. Alene was born August 2, 1928 in Pilot Mountain North Carolina the daughter of the late Joseph Wheeler and Cora Alene King Pell. She was a member of Spring Hill Baptist Church and attended Louise Baptist Church. She was a homemaker and a former employee of the Callaway Middle School in the cafeteria. Mrs. Tillis was preceded in death by her Husband’s Melvin J. Lankford Sr. and Charles Reed Tillis.

Survivors include:

Daughter: Jewell Thornton, LaGrange, GA

Son & Daughter-in-law: Melvin Jr (Kathy) Lankford, Villa Rica, Georgia

Grandchildren: Jeff Lankford, Tiffany (Eric) Dunkelberg, Travis (Christy) Thornton, Taylor (Erica) Thornton

Graveside funeral services will be held at 4:00 P.M., Saturday, October 21, 2023 from Restlawn Memory Gardens with the Reverend Brandon Brooks officiating. The family is asked to arrive at the graveside prior to the service
