Allen Franklin Besch

Mr. Allen F. Besch, age 82, of Elamsville passed away at the Blue Ridge Therapy Connection in Stuart on Thursday, February 12, 2015. He was born in Mattituck, Long Island (NY) on November 6, 1932. He was the son of the late Carl and Anna Benedict Besch. He served in the United States Navy for four years. <?xml:namespace prefix = "o" ns = "urn:schemas-microsoft-com:office:office" />

Mr. Besch was the devoted husband of Joan M. Besch. Together they owned and operated Besch's Clock Shop in Riverhead, NY. Mr. Besch was an accomplished jeweler with a specialty in clock and watch repair. His passion was horses.

He was the loving father of Linda Knatz and Andy Besch, both of Long Island, NY, and like a dad to Terri Besch Mellis, his niece. He was the caring stepdad to Karen Chouinard of Ridgeley, MD, and Michael Brusich of Charlotte, NC. He was a grandfather to Derek and Kate. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, Carl of Calverton, NY.

A memorial service for Mr. Besch will be held at a later date.
