Alpha Mae Dollyhigh

Mrs. Alpha Mae Wilson Dollyhigh, 95, of Mount Airy, passed away Monday night, December 24, 2018, at Forsyth Medical Center in Winston-Salem.  Mrs. Dollyhigh was born September 4, 1923, in Surry County, 1923, the only child born to the late Monroe and Maggie Rakes Wilson.  She retired from Renfro Corporation after 27 years of dedicated service and was a member of Haymore Memorial Baptist Church.  She is survived by a son and daughter-in-law, Randy and Patricia Dollyhigh of North Wilkesboro; a stepgrandson, Brandon “Brian” Luffman of North Wilkesboro; and several cousins.  In addition to her parents, Mrs. Dollyhigh was preceded in death by her husband, Lonnie M. Dollyhigh.  A graveside service will be held Friday, December 28, 2018, at 1:30 PM at Oakdale Cemetery, with Brother Chris Fleming officiating.  No formation visitation will be held at the funeral home.  Moody Funeral Services in Mount Airy is serving the family.
