Amy Katherine Badgett

Miss Amy Katherine Badgett, age 63, of Mount Airy, NC passed away on May 12, 2026, at Novant Forsyth Medical Center. She was born in Surry County on May 22, 1962, the daughter of the late Rufus Stentz and Kate Leonard Badgett. Miss Badgett was a graduate of Mount Airy High School and Wake Forest University. She was employed by Renfro Brands as a sales support coordinator. She is survived by her childhood friends, Craig and Melinda Edwards, Derek and Robin Edwards, many other close friends and several cousins. A graveside service will be held on Thursday May 14, 2026, at 2:00 at Oakdale Cemetery with Rev. Andrew Heil officiating the service. No visitation will be held at the funeral home however friends may visit after the graveside service. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to the Shepherd’s House 227 Rockford Street, Mount Airy, NC 27030. Moody Funeral Service of Mount Airy is entrusted with her arrangements.
