Amy Katherine Badgett

Miss Amy Katherine Badgett, 63, of Mount Airy, passed away Tuesday, May 12, 2026, at Novant Health Forsyth Medical Center in Winston-Salem. Miss Badgett was born May 22, 1962, in Surry County, the daughter of the late Rufus Stentz and Kate Leonard Badgett. She was a graduate of Mount Airy High School and Wake Forest University. She was employed by Renfro Brands as a sales support coordinator. She is survived by her childhood friends, Craig and Melinda Edwards and Derek and Robin Edwards; and many other close friends and several cousins. A graveside service will be held Thursday, May 14, 2026, at 2:00 PM at Oakdale Cemetery, with the Rev. Andrew Heil officiating. No formal visitation will be held at the funeral home; however, friends may visit after the graveside service. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to The Shepherd’s House, P.O. Box 1722, Mount Airy, NC 27030. Moody Funeral Services in Mount Airy is serving the family.
