Andrew Junior Dalton, age 65 of Stuart, passed away Saturday, July 11, 2026 at Sheila S. Strauss Hospice House in Roanoke. He was born in Patrick County on August 1, 1960 to the late Andrew Jackson Dalton and Dolly Lucinda Fain Dalton. In addition to his parents, Mr. Dalton was preceded in death by his wife, Patricia Ann Spence Dalton. He served in the United States Navy and worked at the Waste Water Treatment Plant for 33 years. In addition to his work at the treatment plant, he had several side projects/interests over the years, including TV repair, kerosene heater repair, computer repair, and genealogy.
Mr. Dalton is survived by a daughter, Andrea Nicole Dalton (Anthony Byron Gilley, Jr.) of Hampton; a son, Patrick Christopher Dalton of Stuart; a grandchild, Asher William Gilley; two sisters, Janie Marie Ferguson (Steven Elwood Ferguson) of Salem, VA and Lucy Lee Davis (Randall Lester “Randy” Davis) of Dry Pond, VA; a half-sister, Josie Hamm; a cousin, Warren Lee Rodgers Sr. (Ruth "RJ" Rodgers); a nephew, Randall Andrew “Drew” Davis (Bettina Comparativo); a niece, Mary Lucinda “Cindy” Davis, as well as many other nieces, nephews, and cousins.
A memorial service for Mr. Dalton will be held Saturday, July 25, 2026 at 12:00 PM at Moody Funeral Home in Stuart. Family will receive friends one hour prior to the service. Online condolences may be sent by visiting www.moodyfuneralservices.com.
