Anita Lynn Reeves Payne

Mrs. Anita Lynn Reeves Payne, age 54, of Dobson, went to be with her Lord and Savior, Friday, August 26, 2022, at Forsyth Medical Center. She was born September 25, 1967, in Martinsville Virginia, to the late William Edward Reeves and Linda Jane Butcher Johnson, who survives.

            In addition to her mother, left to cherish her memories are her loving husband, David Gray Payne; daughter and son-in-law, Brandi Payne Robertson and Stephen Robertson; son and daughter-in-law, Dalton Schaeffer Payne and Brittney Payne; grandchildren, Bailey Robertson and Landon Payne; sister and brother-in-law, Karen Lambe Nance and Michael Nance; brother-in-law and sister-in-law, Mark and Kim Payne; nieces, Chasity Lambe and Dara Payne; nephew; Kyle Payne(Maddison); great nephews, Ayden Payne and Jackson Payne; a special friend, Frances Billings; and many, many other special friends.

In addition to her father, she was preceded in death by her stepfather, Bud Johnson; brother-in-law, Ricky Lambe; special cousin and friend, Gina Haynes; and father-in-law and mother-in-law, Bill and Toby Payne.

Mrs. Payne was a loving daughter, wife, mother, grandmother, aunt, cousin, and a friend to all who knew her. She was a member of Central View Missionary Baptist Church. She also worked as a supervisor at Central Adult Care. Visitation will be Sunday, August 28, 2022, from 6:00-8:00 PM at Moody-Davis Funeral Service in Dobson. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 Monday, August 29, 2022, at 11:00 AM at Central View Missionary Baptist Church with Rev. Kenny Pardue and Rev. Travis Chipman officiating. Rev. Anthony Thomas will officiate the committal service following in the church cemetery. The family would like to thank Dr. Greenwood with Nephrology Associates for the care given to Anita. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Donate Life America or to Saint Jude’s Children’s Research Hospital. Moody-Davis Funeral Service in Dobson is serving the Payne family.
