Anna Ruth Miller Golding

Ms. Anna Ruth Miller Golding, 81, of 923 Miller Road, Mount Airy, passed away Saturday morning, November 23, 2013, at Twelve Oaks Assisted Living Facility. Ms. Golding was born May 13, 1932, in Surry County, the daughter of the late Ed and Hattie Davis Miller. Ruth retired from Wachovia Corporation after 26 years of service and was a member of Zion United Methodist Church. She is survived by a daughter and son-in-law, Rita and Kenny Jones of Mount Airy; a granddaughter and her husband, Lee and Tony Anders of Pilot Mountain; a grandson and his wife, Bradley and Tonya Golding of Mount Airy; five great-grandchildren, Jade Anders and Chase Anders, both of Pilot Mountain, Kendall Golding and Teagan Golding, both of Mount Airy, and Mercedes Anders of Georgia; a sister and brother-in-law, Nancy and Buck Williford of High Point; and several nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, Ms. Golding was preceded in death by a son, Edward Dale Golding; and a sister, Rachel Miller Surratt. The funeral service will be held Monday, November 25, 2013, at 11:00 AM at Moody Funeral Home Chapel in Mount Airy, with the Rev. Dorothy Sullivan officiating. Burial will follow in the Zion United Methodist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends Monday from 10:00 until 11:00 AM at the funeral home, and other times at the home of Rita and Kenny Jones, 132 Gwynwood Drive, Mount Airy.
