Anna Rosebell Martin Jones

Mrs. Anna Rosebell Martin Jones, 97, of 30 Jones Mill Road, Cana, VA, passed away Friday, June 11, 2010, at Trinity Mission of Hillsville, VA. Mrs. Jones was born May 25, 1913, in Carroll County, VA, to the late Andrew and Mary Thomas Martin. She was a homemaker and a member of Zion Hill Primitive Baptist Church. She is survived by a daughter and son-in-law, Emma Jean and Harold Hill of Hillsville, VA; a son and daughter-in-law, William Vestal and Bonnie Bryant Jones of Cana, VA; three grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; a sister, Eunice Woods of Lowgap; and a brother, Willie Martin of Cana, VA. In addition to her parents, Mrs. Jones was preceded in death by her husband, Vestal Jones. The funeral service will be held Monday, June 14, 2010, at 11:00 AM at Moody Funeral Home Chapel in Mount Airy, with the Rev. David "Buster" Sechrist and Elder Avery Branch officiating. Burial will follow in the Oak Ridge Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends Sunday from 7:00 to 9:00 PM at the funeral home.
