Mrs. Annie Lou Hutchins Smith, age 78 of Jonesville NC, passed away March 12, 2015 at The Joan and Howard Woltz Hospice Home in Dobson. She was born February 3 , 1937 to the late Claude Allen Hutchins and the late Dora Reece Hutchins.She was a retired cook and homemaker, and a member of Bear Creek Baptist Church. She is survived by her daughter and her husband, Christi and Joel Pate of Boonville. Two sons, David Allen Jenkins of Dobson, and Danny Franklin and Jewel Jenkins of Mt. Airy; Seven grandchildren Cody Amburn, Derek Amburn, Jacob Gwyn, Chad and Nicole Jenkins, Vannah Jenkins, Wendy Jenkins and Jarred Jenkins; Sisters and their spouses, Libby and RV Holder of Orlando Florida, Brenda and Ronnie Miller of Dobson, Edna and Arthur Mickle of Elkin; One brother and his wife, Mike and Brenda Hutchins of Mt. Airy; special nieces and nephews; and a special friend John Lyon of Traphill. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death her sister, Barbara Jean Largen and her brother Jerry Hutchins.. Funeral service will be held 2:00 Saturday, March 14,2015 in The Moody-Davis Chapel in Dobson. Burial will follow in the Salem Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends, Friday, March 13, 2015, from 6:00 PM till 8:00 PM. In lieu of flowers, memorials be made to the Joan and Howard Woltz Hospice Home, 401 Technology Lane, Mt Airy NC 27030
