Ardena Ann Montgomery Wyrick

Mrs. Ardena Ann Montgomery Wyrick, 96, of Mount Airy, passed away Sunday morning, May 17, 2015, at Kate B. Reynolds Hospice Home in Winston-Salem. Mrs. Wyrick was born May 28, 1918, in Surry County, the daughter of the late George Edward and Dora Leftwich Montgomery. She retired from Renfro Corporation after 41 years of service and was a member of Holy Angels Catholic Church. She is survived by a daughter, Patricia Wyrick Marshall of Mocksville; two grandchildren and their spouses, Greg and Rachel Smith of Rock Hill, SC, and Chris and Paula Marshall of Mocksville; and two great-grandchildren, Andrew Marshall and Renee Marshall, both of Mocksville. In addition to her parents, Mrs. Wyrick was preceded in death by her husband, Edgar Vernon Wyrick; a daughter, Margaret Louise Wyrick Smith; a grandson, David Marshall; two sisters, Hazel Phillips and Fannie Mae Vass; and three brothers, Wyatt Montgomery, Lofton Montgomery, and Daniel Montgomery. A funeral mass will be held Tuesday May 19, 2015, at 12:00 PM at Holy Angels Catholic, with the Father Lawrence W. Heiney officiating. Interment will follow at Oakdale Cemetery. There will not be a formal visitation. Flowers will be accepted, or memorial contributions may be made to Holy Angels Catholic Church, 1208 North Main Street, Mount Airy, NC 27030. Moody Funeral Services in Mount Airy is serving the Wyrick family.
