Mr. Arlis Eugene Hodges, 76, of Mt. Airy passed away Wednesday, April 15, 2015 at Wake Forest Baptist Medical Center in Winston Salem. He was born in Surry County on March 11, 1939 to the late John Lee and Lena Felts Hodges. Mr. Hodges retired from R.J. Reynolds and was a member of Hope Fellowship Church. He proudly served our country in the United States Army during the Vietnam War. He is survived by his loving wife of 55 years, Iris Faye Hodges; a daughter and son-in-law, Teresa and Douglas Shaw; a son and daughter-in-law, Timothy and Jill Hodges; three grandchildren, Amber Harold, Alexis Harold and Ranie Hodges; a brother and sister-in-law, Troy and Betty Hodges. In addition to his parents, Mr. Hodges was preceded in death by three brothers, Hardin, Wayne and Paul Hodges. Funeral services will be held Saturday, April 18, 2015 at 11:00 AM at Moody Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Terry Johnson and the Rev. Ed Bowman officiating. Burial will follow at Skyline Memory Gardens. The family will receive friends on Friday evening from 6:00 until 8:00 PM at Moody Funeral Home in Mt. Airy.
