Arnold Ray "Runt" Goins, Sr.

Mr. Arnold Ray “Runt” Goins, Sr. age 85, of Mount Airy, passed away November 30, 2023, at Northern Regional Hospital.  Arnold was born June 15, 1938, to the late Claude Lee and Sallie Bet Goins.  Mr. Goins was profoundly known within the community for his good spirits and expertise in working on small engines, as he owned/operated Goins Small Engine Repair.  He is survived by his loving daughter, Kristi Goins of the home; sons and daughters-in-law, Todd Goins, Arnold Ray Goins, Jr. and wife Robin; grandchildren, Chevy Goins, Arnold Ray Goins III, Courtney Hawks and Andrew, Lynette Goins; adopted grandchildren, Jessica Smith, Summer Young, Tauna Epperson; great-grandchildren, Haden Goins, Austen Goins, and Teagan Goins; several nieces and nephews, along with many cousins.  In addition to his parents, Arnold was preceded in death by his loving wife, Dorothy Goins; one son, Scott Goins; an infant child; one brother, George Goins.  The family will be having a gathering at the family home 193 Brenda Drive, Mount Airy, NC. 27030, Monday December 4, 2023, from 5:00 until 8:00 PM.  The family would like to thank everyone for the love and prayers shown during this difficult time.  Moody’s of Mount Airy is respectfully serving the Goins family.  Flowers will be accepted or donations may be made to the donor's choice.
