Arthur Ray "Tom" Cox

Mr. Arthur Ray "Tom" Cox Age 88 of Stuart, VA. passed away Friday February 21, 2014 at the Salem VA Medical Center in Roanoke, VA. Mr. Cox was born January 4, 1926 in Patrick County to the late Alonzo and Ophelia Sehen Cox, he was a veteran of the US Army serving during WWII and was the owner and operator of A.R. Cox and Sons Grading for over 40 Years. Surviving are his wife of 67 years Mildred King Cox of the home, two sons and daughters-in-law Donald R and Debbie Cox of Claudville and Ronald D. and Julia Cox of Stuart, VA, one granddaughter Breanna Cox of Stuart, VA., one step granddaughter Amanda and Will Lane of Mt. Airy, one sister and brother-in-law Cassie C. and Russell Mitchell of Atlanta GA. Several nieces and nephews and a special nephew Pete Cox of Stuart, VA. Funeral services will be held Monday February 24, 2014 at 2:00 P.M. at the Moody Funeral Home Chapel in Mt. Airy with services conducted by Rev. Rickey Rogers with burial to follow in the Mt. Ararat Pentecostal Holiness Church Cemetery in Ararat, VA. where full military right will be conducted by the Patrick County Veterans Memorial Honor Guard. The family will receive friends Sunday night 6 to 8 P.M. at the Moody Funeral Home and Chapel in Mt. Airy, NC. Flowers will be accepted or memorials may be made to the Mt. Ararat Pentecostal Holiness Church Cemetery Fund, 1106 Dry Pond Hwy Claudville, VA. 24076.
