Arthur Ray Draughn

Mr. Arthur Ray Draughn, 61, of 166 Booker Street, Mount Airy, passed away Thursday morning, October 20, 2016, at his home. Mr. Draughn was born February 26, 1955, in Forsyth County, the son of the late Arthur Raymond and Nannie Elizabeth Donathan Draughn. Arthur worked as a shipping clerk at Perry Manufacturing for many years. He is survived by a brother, Danny Ray Draughn of Mount Airy; a special aunt, Annie Draughn of Siloam; a special uncle, Harry Brown of Siloam; and three special cousins, Lisa Brown and Jay Draughn, both of Siloam, and the Rev. Wayne Draughn of Dobson. In addition to his parents, Mr. Draughn was preceded in death by a sister, Patsy Ann Draughn. A memorial service will be held Sunday, October 23, 2016, at 2:00 PM at Moody Funeral Home Chapel in Mount Airy, with the Rev. Wayne Draughn officiating. The family will receive friends Sunday from 1:00 until 2:00 PM at the funeral home.
