Avery Willard Sheets

Mr. Avery Willard Sheets, age 78, of Dobson, passed away Sunday December 8, 2024, at the SECU Hospice Home in Yadkinville. He was born September 3, 1946, in Smyth County, Virginia to the late Norman Judson Sheets and the late Effie Richardson Sheets. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his siblings, Virginia Brooks, Josephine Pipes, Edith Pugh, Pauline Martin, Ernest Sheets, Bertie Wilson, Burlie Dolinger, Della Dolinger, Una Hensley, Dean Sheets, and Joy Taylor.

Left to cherish his memories are his sister and brother-in-law, Janelle and Larry Buffkin; his niece Norma Bauguess, and many other nieces and nephews. A graveside service will we held 2:00 PM Wednesday, December 11, 2024, in the Comers Creek Baptist Church Cemetery in Troutdale Va. No services will be held at the funeral Home. Moody-Davis Funeral Service in Dobson is serving the Sheets family.
