Barbara Jean Willard Bowman

Mrs. Barbara Jean Willard Bowman age 67 of Ararat, VA. passed Sunday May 10, 2015 at the Forsyth Medical Center in Winston Salem, NC. Mrs. Bowman was born May 14, 1947 in Surry County to the late Jack and Nola Goins Willard, she was a homemaker and was a member of Unity Church Surviving are one sister Louise Willard Smith of Ararat, VA. and several nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents Mrs. Bowman was preceded in death her husband Curtis Wheeler Bowman, by two sisters Lois Hooker and Thelma Bowman and by two brothers James Willard and R. J. Willard. Funeral services will be held Friday May 15, 2015 at 2:00 P.M. at Unity Church with services conducted by Rev. Buford Jessup with burial to follow in the Rock Hill Baptist Church cemetery. The family will receive friends Friday from 12:00 P.M. until time for the service at Unity Church. In lieu of flowers, the family has request donations be made to Moody Funeral Home in Mt. Airy to assist in the funeral expenses.
