Barbara Cave Davis

Barbara Ann Cave Davis, 77, of Dobson, North Carolina passed away peacefully at her home Sunday, June 14, 2026. Born June 16, 1948, in Surry County, to the late James Wesley and Nora Marsh Cave. Barbara was a faithful and devoted Christian and a long-time member of Rocky Ford Baptist Church. Selfless by nature, she would always be there to lend a helping hand when needed. Putting others before herself, further exemplifying the type of Godly woman she was. Her true joy was being in the kitchen, often sharing the desserts she made with those who she loved most. A precious mother, and loving and faithful wife, Barbara truly will be missed by all who knew her. Left to cherish her memory is her husband, Eric Gustave Davis; daughter and son-in-law, Kimberly Davis Taylor and Sonny; son and daughter-in-law, William “Drew” Davis and Annette; grandchildren, Ethan Drew Davis and his significant other, Lucy Ketner, Gracelyn Lee Davis and fiancé Keiton Cassell, Kayla Marie Edwards and husband, Rodney, Colton Lane Simpson, and Aidan Augustus Lee Bullin; great-grandson, Everett Mitchel Edwards; sisters, Shelby Cave Edwards, and Linda Cave Hemric; and brother, Roger Cave. Along with her parents, she is preceded in death by sisters, Martha Bodford, and Clairine Sprinkle; and brothers, John “JB” Cave, Jacob Cave, Joe Cave, and Kyle Cave. The family will receive friends Wednesday, June 17, 2026, from 12:45 until 1:45 PM at Moody-Davis Funeral Home. A funeral service will be held, following the visitation, at 2:00 PM at Rocky Ford Baptist Church with Rev. Claude Lloyd and Rev. Chris Davis officiating. Burial will follow in the Rocky Ford Baptist Church Cemetery. Moody-Davis Funeral Service in Dobson, NC is serving the Davis family.
