Barbara Jean Nichols Shelton

Mrs. Barbara Nichols Shelton, age 90, of Advance, North Carolina, passed away Tuesday, October 1, 2024, at Kate B. Reynolds Hospice Home. Mrs. Shelton was born April 3, 1934, in Surry County to the late Thomas Nichols and Filomena Migliore Nichols. She is survived by her daughters and son-in-law, Nancy Moore and John, Molly Clark; grandchildren, Zoe Clark, Luke Clark; step-grandchildren, Wes Moore and Brad Moore. In addition to her parents, Mrs. Shelton was preceded in death by her husband, Charlie George Shelton; sisters, Nancy Ruth Nichols Vaughn, Hilda Nichols, Lucy Shaw; brother, Jack Nichols. Per Mrs. Shelton’s request there will be no public services. The family will hold a private graveside service. Moody’s of Mount Airy is respectfully serving the Shelton family.
