Barbara Geraldine Reese Kidwell (Bobbi) 68, passed away in the presence of her family Jan. 30, 2014 at Duke University Hospital. She was born in Belburn, West Virginia on April 24, 1945 to the late Glada Malissa Reese Harich of Clinton, Maryland and late Charles Clarence Reese of Beckley, West Virginia. She was preceded in death by two brothers Terry Edward Reese of Elkton, Virginia, and Gary Charles Reese of Beckley, West Virginia and a sister Karen Sue Maddy of Archdale, NC. Bobbi was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister and friend and was associated with the mortgage and real estate industry most of her life in the Northern Virginia area working in middle management capacity. She attended Trinity Episcopal Church and was an avid viewer of Charles Stanley Ministries. She was a member of Chapter 18 Order of Eastern Star. She will be remembered for her knowledge in working with people and her loving care for family and friends. She is survived by her husband John Kidwell of the home, son Kenneth M. Unger and wife Debra of Mount Airy, NC and son Bryan Keith Unger and friend Gretchen Rohrbach of Winston Salem, NC. Three grandchildren, Kenny, Jr., Kyle and Tyler Unger of Mount Airy, NC. She is also survived by four sisters; Judy Serino of Rural Hall, NC, Louise McCutcheon and husband Lanty of No. VA., Linda Harbinson and husband Michael of Streetsboro, Ohio and JoAnn Thompson and husband Larry of Cincinnati, Ohio. Also one surviving brother Charles Stuart McMillion of White Plains, NC and several nieces and nephews and extended family. Funeral services will be held Sunday February 2, 2014 at 2:00 PM at the Moody Funeral Chapel, 206 West Pine Street in Mount Airy with Father Ray Hanna officiating. Interment will be at White Plains Friends Meeting on Old Hwy 601 in White Plains. Mrs. Kidwell's family will receive friends at the funeral home on Sunday from 1:00 until 2:00 PM. Flowers will be accepted, but memorials contributions may be made in honor of Bobbi to White Plains Friends Meeting Cemetery Fund 849 Old Highway 601 Mount Airy, NC 27030, Surry Humane Society, 230 Frederick St. Mount Airy, NC 27030, or to the Oxford Orphanage, 600 College St. Oxford, NC 27565..
