Belva Marshall Austin

Mr. Belva Marshall Austin, 91, of Meadows of Dan, passed away Friday December 1, at Twin County Regional Hospital in Galax. Mr. Austin was a member of Mayberry Presbyterian Church and was retired from the Corps of Engineers at Philpot and was also a painter. He was preceded in death by an infant daughter, Phyllis Austin; a son Carroll Austin; and a grandson, Victor Marshall. Surviving is his wife, Clarice Hensley Austin, a daughter Roberta Hodges of Meadows of Dan; two grandchildren, Barbara Austin and Linford and Shelia Marshall and one sister, Exie Samuels of Danville, Va. A graveside service will be held at 2:00 Monday, December 4 at the Yates Family Cemetery in Meadows of Dan. Online condolences may be made at www.moodyfuneralservices.com.
