Betty Anne Binion

Betty Anne Binion, age 87, of Sparta NC, went to be with her Lord and Savior on Tuesday, August 4, 2026, surrounded by her loving family. She was born August 6, 1938, in Alleghany County to the late Amos Presnell and the late Beulah Nunn. Betty was a loving mother, grandmother, great grandmother, and great-great grandmother; she was a member Zion Primitive Baptist Church, where she served as minute keeper. Betty loved everyone deeply, yet always made her opinion known. She also loved reading, gardening, going to the beach, and her most memorable “sister trips”.

Left to cherish her memories are her daughter, Jo Binion; her granddaughters, Nikki Dasko and Jessica Colbert (Joshua); her grandson, Ethan Binion; her great grandchildren, Tailey Montgomery (Micah), Ian Montgomery, Jason Montgomery, Alazae Colbert, Mia Doub, Quest Colbert, and Leighton Binion; great great grandchildren, Vera Bray, Archer Bray, and Natalia Bray; and her sisters, Wanda Powers, Helen Jack, and Brenda Lakey (Jim). In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her son, William “Billy” Binion; her sister, Audie Collins; and her brother, Kenneth Presnell. There will be a Celebration of Life held at a later date. Moody-Davis Funeral Service in Dobson is respectfully serving the Binion Family.
