Betty Dalton Cheek

Mrs. Betty Byrd Dalton Cheek, 66, of Mount Airy, passed away Saturday, May 12, 2018, at Universal Health Care in King.  Mrs. Cheek was a retired CNA from Twelve Oaks.  She is survived by a daughter, Michelle Dalton; a son, David Dalton and his partner, Gerald Moon; two grandchildren, Gabriel Dalton and Zandy Norman; two sisters, Margaret Dawson and Peggy Morgan; and two sisters-in-law, Lynn Leonard and Debbie McKight.  In addition to her parents, Mrs. Cheek was preceded in death by her husband, Wayne Dalton; and a brother, Larry Byrd.  The funeral service will be held Saturday, May 19, 2018, at 3:00 PM at Moody Funeral Home Chapel in Mount Airy, with the Rev. Casey Walker and the Rev. Bill Watson officiating.  Burial will follow in the Little Mountain Baptist Church Cemetery.  The family will receive friends Saturday from 2:00 until 3:00 PM at the funeral home.
