Billy Spencer Freeman

Mr. Billy “Spencer” Freeman, age 42, of Mount Airy, passed away Saturday, June 20, 2026. Spencer was born in Surry County on September 22, 1983, to the late Billy Gray Freeman and Kathryn “Kathy” Lynn Barnes Gwyn. He was a self-employed mechanic by trade. Family was very important to him, his kids was his pride and joy, and meant the world to him. In his spare time he could be found fishing, which he loved, or drinking his favorite drink, Dr. Pepper. Left to cherish his memories are his children, Natalie Freeman, Samuel Freeman, Madison Burnett; two grandchildren; sisters and brothers-in-law, Cathy Blackburn and Steve, Lisa Watson and Jimmy, Kimberly Fowler and Jason; brother, Joshua Jones. In addition to his parents, Spencer was preceded in death by his brother, Dathan Roy Jones. No formal services will be held at this time. The family will hold a celebration of life service at a later date. Moodys of Mount Airy is respectfully serving the Freeman family.
