Billy Ray Semones

Mr. Billy Ray Semones, 73, of Mount Airy, passed away early Sunday morning, August 11, 2024, at Forsyth Medical Center in Winston-Salem. Mr. Semones was born April 17, 1951, in Surry County, the son of the late Lewis Monroe and Lena Rae Johnson Semones. Billy was an automotive mechanic for many years. He is survived by a sister, Judy Semones Willard; a niece, Carrie Mae Hawks; two great-nephews, Samuel Keith Hawks, II and his wife, Jammie, and Austin Tyler Mitchell; four great-great-nieces; and a great-great-nephew. A graveside service will be held Wednesday, August 14, 2024, at 2:00 PM at New Venture Baptist Church Cemetery, with Roger Hill officiating. No formal visitation will be held. The family wishes to express their gratitude for the love, care, and compassion shown by his niece, Carrie Mae Hawks. Moody Funeral Services in Mount Airy is serving the family.
