Birda Alverta Poff

Mrs. Birda Alverta Bond Poff, age 68, of Mt. Airy passed away Friday, July 31, 2020 at Forsyth Medical Center in Winston Salem.  She was born in Carroll County Virginia on October 15, 1951 to the late James and Della  Guynn .  She was a loving mother, grandmother and great grandmother who will surely be missed by all who knew her.  Left to cherish her memories are a daughter, Patricia Guynn; a son Wiley Guynn; grandchildren, Laken and Timothy Brannock, Adrienne Williams, Brandon Guynn, Austin Collins, Lindsey Graveley and Dominik Guynn; eight great grandchildren; brothers and sisters-in-law Hassell Arlond, Lewis Riley and Birt and Betty Bond.  In addition to her parents Mrs. Poff was preceded in death by her husband, James Douglas Poff; son, Joseph Guynn; sisters, Lila Barr, Nellie Haynes and Freda Guynn.  A graveside service will be held on Wednesday, August 5, 2020 at 2:00 PM at Elks Spur Cemetery with services conducted by Rev. Jerry Pardue.
