Mr. Bobby Esker Beck age 77 of Pilot Mountain passed away Thursday September 11, 2014 at the Joan & Howard Woltz Hospice Home in Dobson. Mr. Beck was born June 7, 1937 in Surry County to the late Emmitte Roosevelt and Mary Jackson Beck, he was retired as a Heavy Equipment Operator and was a member of Friendly Chapel Church. Surviving are one daughter and son-in-law Lisa Ann and Junior Hall of Pilot Mountain, one son and daughter-in-law Bobby Wayne and Darlene Beck of Pilot Mountain, four grandchildren, Austin Beck and wife Sara Beth of Pilot Mountain, Dylan Beck of Pilot Mountain, Teddy Hall of Pilot Mountain and Terry Hall and fiance Justin Spillman of East Bend, three great grandchildren, Kayson, Karson and Brayden, five sisters and brothers-in-law Jettie Beck Manring and husband Carl and Rachel Beck Charpiat and husband Larry all of Pilot Mountain, Frances Beck Jones and husband Charles of Mocksville, Dot Beck George and husband Willie Jones of Kernersville and Shirley Beck Hutchens of Yadkinville and one brother and sister-in-law Joe and Diane Beck of King, In addition to his parents Mr. Beck was preceded in death by his wife Barbara Sue Todd Beck, two sons Leon Beck and Timmy Beck and by two brothers Eugene Beck and Bill Beck, a granddaughter Tara Beck and a grandson Gentry Beck. Funeral services will be held Saturday September 13, 2014 at 11:00 AM at the Moody Funeral Home Chapel in Mt. Airy with services conducted by Rev. Gary Sawyers and Rev. Bill Spurlin with burial to follow in the Peoples Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends Friday night 6 to 8 PM at the Moody Funeral Home in Mt. Airy, NC.
