Mr. Bobby Lee Goard, age 88 of Stuart, VA, passed away peacefully on Monday, September 7, 2026 at Blue Ridge Therapy Connection in Stuart. He was born in Patrick County on August 23, 1938 to Dennis J. Goard and Pearl Goad Goard. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his first wife, Dieen Taylor Goard; four sisters, Lelia East, Lois Worley, Geneva Foley, and Pauline Epperly; three brothers, Irvin Goard, Albert Goard, and Edgar Goard.

He served in the U.S. Army and was the manager and part owner of Town and Country from 1965 until the early eighties. He enjoyed spending time with his family and friends, and deer hunting in his spare time. He was also on the 1958 Stuart High School Group III State Champion Boys’ Basketball Team.

He is survived by his wife Ella Sue Goard and two sisters Nannie Ruth Lawson and Elaine Hughes (Melvin).

Funeral service for Mr. Goard will be held on Thursday, September 10, 2026 at 11:00 A.M. at Moody Funeral Home with Pastor J.R. Shelton and Reverend Tom Warren officiating with burial at Patrick Memorial Gardens. Family will receive friends one hour prior to the service.
