Bobby Charles Willey

Mr. Bobby Charles Willey, 71, of 347 Taylor Street, Mount Airy, passed away Monday morning, December 1, 2014, at his home. Mr. Willey was born February 26, 1943, in Orange County, FL, to the late Charles and Sarah Elizabeth Wagoner Willey. Bobby served our country in the United States Navy during the early 1960s. He later retired as a salesman from R and R Supply and attended Mount Airy Wesleyan Church. Bobby loved baseball, warm weather, and dressing up for Halloween. His warm and fun-loving spirit will be remembered for many years to come by his family and friends. He is survived by a brother, Richard G. Willey (Montine Long) of Orlando, FL; his special friends and caregivers, Kristi Horton (Thomas) and Cathy McCluskey (Tom); and a multitude of friends. In addition to his parents, Mr. Willey was preceded in death by a brother, David Willey. A memorial service will be held Wednesday, December 3, 2014, at 6:00 PM at Mount Airy Wesleyan Church, with the Rev. Richard Loman officiating. The family will receive friends Wednesday from 5:00 until 6:00 PM at Mount Airy Wesleyan Church. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Moody Funeral Home, P.O. Box 1288, Mount Airy, NC 27030, to assist the family with the funeral expenses. Moody Funeral Home in Mount Airy is serving the family.
