Bonita "Cricket" Cain

Ms. Bonita “Cricket” Anders Cain, 78 of Mount Airy, passed away on Friday morning, August 28, 2026, at the Joan and Howard Woltz Hospice Home. She was born, May 19, 1948, in Galax, VA to the late Junior “Jay” Clyde Tilley and Eunice “Ollie” Williams Tilley. She loved to read and enjoyed anything to do with Elvis. Left to cherish her memory are her daughter, Susan Cain and Chris Poplin of Winston-Salem; son, Dennis Roy Cain, Jr. of Mount Airy; granddaughter, Emily Grace Cain; sisters, Debbie Moser Epperly and Terry of Mount Airy, and Betty Lorraine Bowman of Mount Airy; and by several nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, Ms. Cain was preceded in death by her baby brother, Sonny Anders. A private celebration of life will be held later. The family would like to thank Mountain Valley Hospice, Northern Regional Hospital, and Novant Forsyth Medical Center for all the love and care shown to Cricket and the family. Memorial donations may be given to Mountain Valley Hospice or any animal rescue of the donor’s choice. Moody Funeral Services in Mount Airy is serving the family.
