Bonnie Gaye Mears

Mrs. Bonnie Gaye Goins Mears, 72, of Mt. Airy passed away Thursday, January 30, 2020, at Forsyth Medical Center in Winston Salem.  She was born in Surry County on July 4, 1947, to the late Arlis Jesse and Imogene Haley Goins.  Mrs. Mears retired from Asmo Appalachian Corporation.  She is survived by her husband, Roy “Roger” Mears; a daughter, Kim Brown; grandchild, Brittany Martin and fiancé Jason Chandler.  In addition to her parents, Mrs. Mears was preceded in death by a daughter, Crystal Mears; a grandchild, Jessica Martin; a sister, Donna Goins Goad.  A memorial service will be held Thursday, February 6, 2020, at 3:00 PM at Moody Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev.
