Bonnie Lynn Yopp Easter Hooley

Mrs. Bonnie Lynn Yopp Easter Hooley, age 84 of Cana, Virginia passed into eternal rest on Sunday, May 18, 2025, at Waddel Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Galax surrounded by her loving family. Mrs. Hooley was born on September 23, 1940, in Carroll County to the late Alfred and Iris Blackburn Yopp. Mrs. Hooley was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister, and friend. She was a longtime member of Solid Rock Baptist Church. Surviving is her daughter and son-in-law, Vickie and Thurman Porter; sons and daughter-in-law, Ronnie Easter, and Randall and Brenda Easter; 10 grandchildren; 9 great-grandchildren; 2 great great grandchildren; sister and brother-in-law, Betty and Thomas Freeman; brothers and sisters-in-law, Mike and Janice Yopp, and Doug and Shirley Yopp; special friends, Barbara and Tommy Dewitt; along with several nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, Mrs. Hooley was preceded in death by her a daughter, Bobbie Jo Easter Rutherford; a son, David Michael Easter; 1st husband, Ronald Jacob Easter, her 2nd husband, John Dale Hooley; and two brothers, James Lee Yopp and Gene Austin Gallimore. Funeral services will be held on Thursday, May 22, 2025, at 2:00 PM at Solid Rock Baptist Church in Cana, Virginia with Pastor Jason Johnson officiating. Interment will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends on Thursday, May 22, 2025, at Solid Rock Baptist Church from 1:00 PM until 2:00 PM. Mrs. Hooley’s family would like to give a special thank you to Andrea Bishop, Cynthia Layne, and Waddell Nursing and Rehab for all of the love, care, and support given to her during her illness. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be given in her memory to Solid Rock Baptist Church, 680 Fish Lake Road, Cana, VA 24317.
