Boyd Inman

Mr. Boyd Dean Inman, 71, of Mt. Airy, passed away at his home, Sunday, May 16, 2021.  He was born in Surry County, October 7, 1949, to the late Thomas and Ella Mae Kirkman Inman.  Dean retired as a construction inspector for the City of Winston-Salem after 34 years of service.  He loved music, juke boxes, and muscle cars. Dean enjoyed taking his special Chevelle, “Heather” to car show and spending time with family and friends.  Dean is survived by his loving wife, Cathy Doan Fleming Inman; daughter and son-in-law, Amy and Chris Johnson; son Matthew Inman; grandchildren, Emilie and Lauren; a great grandson Legend; sisters, Carolyn Blackburn, and Johnnie Mae Caviness; and several nieces and nephews.  The family would like to express their deepest appreciation of Dean’s wonderful caregiver Jeff Tate, and all the wonderful friends that have been there to support Dean and Cathy through Dean’s illness.  A memorial service is being planned for a later time.  Online condolences may be made at www.moodyfuneralservices.com.
