Brian E. Upchurch

Mr. Brian E. Upchurch, 45 of Lambsburg, VA passed away at home on Wednesday, July 3, 2013. He was born in Surry County on June 13, 1968 to William Elmer Upchurch and Karen Lindsay McKinney. He served in the U.S. Navy and later worked as a CNC Programmer. Mr. Upchurch is survived by his mother and step father, Karen L. and Robert McKinney of Lambsburg; his father, William Elmer Upchurch of Lambsburg, a sister and brother-in-law, Sharonette and Howard Edwards of Mt. Airy; a nephew, Roxton "Rico" Edwards and intended fiancée, Sharon Jones of Kernersville, NC. Funeral services will be conducted at 2:00 pm on Sunday, July 7, 2013 at Chestnut Grove Primitive Baptist Church by Elders, V.J. Hawks, Keith McCraw and David Edwards. The eulogy will be given by Keith Southern. Burial will follow in the Stewart Family Cemetery in Lambsburg. The family will receive friends at the church on Saturday, July 6, 2013 from 6:00 until 8:00 pm. In lieu of flowers the family has requested that memorials be made to Moody Funeral Home, PO Box 1288, Mt. Airy, NC 27030 to assist with the funeral expenses.
