It is with deep sadness that his loving wife, Sharon, announces the passing of Bruce Edward Bowman, 67. He passed away peacefully in his sleep at his home in Stuart, Virginia, on May 3, 2025. Born in Richmond on June 15, 1957, he was the loving son of the late Larry Burton Bowman, Sr., and Mary Ann Bowman and the son-in-law of Nancy Hubbard Clark (Tim).
Bruce is loved and survived by his three sons, Travis, Taylor (Sandi), and Patrick and their mother Piper (Allen), sisters: Pat, Dee (Bret), Monya (David), and many nieces, nephews, cousins, aunts and uncles, and a very special Aunt Ann.
He is predeceased by his brother, Larry Burton, and sister-in-law, Pam.
Along with his artistic gift of drawing, he was very athletic and played most sports. After high school, Bruce joined the Navy. When his service was complete, he followed in his father's footsteps and became a pipe welder, spending a number of years working with him before working for Goodyear. A welder by trade, but certainly a “jack of all trades”, he worked construction until he retired. Bruce will be remembered for his love of music, trout fishing, camping, and gardening.
A celebration of life will be held at a future date. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to a charity of choice.
