Bruce Kelly Mosley, Sr.

Mr. Bruce Kelly Mosley, Sr., age 76, of Cana, Virginia, passed away Saturday night, November 16, 2024, at his residence with his loving family by his side. Mr. Mosley was born in Surry County on May 6, 1948, to the late Harvey Mosley and Pearl Frances Eads Mosley. Bruce was a self-taught extraordinary musician; he filled his life with music and laughter. He was a talented and hardworking man, above all else he loved God and family. Mr. Mosley is survived by his loving wife of 41 years, Jean Mosley; daughters and sons-in-law, Sharon Brown and Mike, Kristi Johnson and Ty, Donna Shaw, Sandra Ehmke and Greg; son, Kelly Mosley, Jr., 10 wonderful grandchildren; 15 great grandchildren; brothers and sister-in-law, Hal Mosley and Hilda, Larry Mosley. In addition to his parents, Mr. Mosley was preceded in death by his sister, Foye Jean Shelton, brothers Everette Mosley, Arnold Mosley, Wayne Mosley. A celebration of his life will be held Thursday, November 21, 2024, at 11:00 AM at Anchored in Jesus Baptist Church 5451 NC 268, Dobson, NC 27017, with the Rev. Larry Stone, Rev. Dakota Johnson, Rev. Isreal Gwyn officiating. A burial will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends Wednesday, November 20, 2024, from 6:00 to 8:00 PM at Anchored in Jesus Baptist Church. Flowers will be accepted, or memorial donations may be made to a charity of the donor’s choice. Moody’s of Mount Airy is respectfully serving the Mosley family.
