Callie Virginia Puckett Smith

Callie Virginia Puckett Smith, 32, of Cana, beloved wife, mother, daughter, and sister passed away at her home on Friday, August 14th, 2015. Callie was born December 06, 1982, just one minute before her twin sister Colleen. Inseparable and sometimes indistinguishable, these two had a bond and a love that was beyond compare. Callie graduated from Carroll County High School and was a Member of New Beginnings Community Church in Cana, VA. She worked as a CNA before becoming a wife, mother and homemaker. Callie is survived by her Husband, Shane Smith; daughters, Reese and Hailey Smith; Mother, Mary McCraw; Father, Keith Puckett; Grandmother, Bertha Thomas; brother , Charlie Puckett (Deborah); sisters, Becky Upchurch (Brad) and Colleen Southern (Keith); A very special cousin, Hope Vaught, and several beloved nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and cousins. Callie felt blessed to have two beautiful daughters. She always wanted to be a good Mother and her pride, love, and devotion for these children was obvious to everyone. She loved her husband Shane and her precious little girls with all her heart. In fact, Callie loved her family and friends with an everlasting loyalty. We will miss her love, her smile, and her laughter for the rest of our days, but we find peace knowing that she is at rest in the loving arms of her beloved "Ma" and "Pa" and will remain eternally bound to each of us in our hearts and in our memories, until we meet again. A graveside service will be conducted at 2:00 PM on Monday, August 17, 2015 by Rev. Wes Mosteller at the McCraw Family Cemetery on Longleaf Rd., Cana, VA. The family will receive friends from 4:00 until 6:00 PM on Sunday, August 16th at Moody Funeral Home in Mt. Airy. Flowers will be accepted or memorials may be made to Moody Funeral Home, PO Box 1288, Mt. Airy, NC 27030.
