Calvin Rayburn Boyd

Mr. Calvin Rayburn Boyd, 58, of Mt. Airy, passed away Friday, October 19, 2018.  Mr. Boyd was born in Surry County on September 9, 1960.  He was a wonderful father, son, brother and dear friend who will be dearly missed.  Surviving is his sons, Jacob Boyd, and Josh Boyd; grandchildren, Cheyanne Boyd and Stormy Boyd; his mother, Edith Palmer Boyd Thomas; sisters, Tonya Boyd, Sonya Smith and husband Ralph, Karen Flippen, Rhonda Golding, and Denise Watson and husband Greg; a brother, Keith Boyd; and several nieces and nephews.  Mr. Boyd was preceded in death by his father, Calvin Morris Boyd, and a brother-in-law, Clarence Golding.  Family and friends are welcome to help celebrate Rayburn’s life at Haymore Memorial Baptist Church Fellowship Hall on Saturday, October 27, 2018 from 4:00 to 6:00.  The family request flowers be omitted and contributions be sent to Edith Thomas, 2890 Wards Gap Rd., Mt.
