Carl Patrick Barnette

Mr. Carl Patrick Barnette, age 39, passed away unexpectedly on Thursday, March 14, 2024, in Wilkes County.  Mr. Barnette was born May 12, 1984, in Greenville County, South Carolina to Lou Hicks Scott and the late James Edward Barnette.  Mr. Barnette was a loving son, father, brother, and friend.   He will be deeply missed by all who knew him.  Surviving is his daughter, Zoey Barnette; a son, Jullian Barnette; mother and stepfather, Lou Hicks Scott and Larry; brother, Ryan Barnette; stepbrothers, Michael Scott and wife Buffy, and Matthew Scott and wife Maria; along with many aunts, uncles, and cousins.  Mr. Barnette was preceded in death by his father, James Edward Barnette.  A memorial service will be held on Saturday, March 23, 2024, at Fellowship Missionary Baptist Church at 2:00 PM with Reverend Drake Phillips officiating.  The family will receive on Saturday, March 23, 2024, at Fellowship Missionary Baptist Church from 1:00 PM until 2:00 PM.  In lieu of flowers, memorial donation may be made to Fellowship Missionary Baptist Church, 922 Banner Street, Mount Airy, North Carolina 27030.
