Carl Lee Lawson

         Mr. Carl Lee Lawson, age 64 of Martinsville, passed away Wednesday, February 15, 2023, at Franklin Health and Rehab in Rocky Mount.  He was born on February 4, 1959, in Patrick County.  He was preceded in death by his father, Herbert Lawson.  Carl loved Harley Davidson’s, hunting, and fishing.  He was a member of First Baptist Church of Bassett.

         Surviving is three daughters and a son-in-law, Amber and Jason Griffith of Ridgeway, Amy Foley of Patrick Springs, Alysia Lawson of Fieldale; one son and daughter-in-law, John and Beth Lawson of Patrick Springs; eight grandchildren; his mother, Iris Williams Lawson of Stuart; and one brother, Calvin Lawson of Stuart.

         Funeral services will be held Sunday, February 19, 2023, at 2:00 PM at Moody Funeral Home in Stuart with Pastor Dewayne Troutt officiating.  Burial will follow in Patrick Memorial Gardens.  The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.  In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Hope Center, 6478 Irisburg Rd, Axton, VA 24054.  Online condolences may be sent to www.moodyfuneralservices.com.
