Carolyn Louise Linville Busick

Mrs. Carolyn Louise Linville Busick, age 81, of Mt. Airy, passed away on Friday, February 16, 2024 at Blue Ridge Nursing in Stuart, VA.  She was born on September 14, 1942 in Surry County to the late Charlie, and Beulah Gwyn Linville Gates.  She was a loving mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother who will surely be missed by all who knew her.  Mrs. Busick loved and enjoyed playing with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.  She enjoyed gardening and canning what she raised.  She also loved working in her flower garden.  She was a lady that loved everybody.  Left to cherish her memory is her husband of 60 years, Curtis Busick Sr.; daughters and sons-in-law, Wanda Pruitt (Gary), Shelia Bowman (Greg); son and daughter-in-law, Curtis Busick Jr. (Michelle); grandchildren, Curtis Busick III, Cortney Busick, Mason Bowman, Brooke Bowman, Kayla Woodlief (John), Jennifer Card; great-grandchildren, Madelyn Card, and Lily Woodlief; sister and brother-in-law, Rosie Ferguson (Tommy); brothers and sister-in-law, Larry Linville (Karen), Charles Linville, and special friend, Hassie Dawson.  In addition to her parents Mrs. Busick was preceded in death by a sister, Verda Shinault; brothers, Vestal, Wayne, and Richard Linville.  A funeral service will be held on Monday, February 19, 2024 at 2:00 PM at New Bethel Baptist Church with service conducted by Rev. Jimmy McCraw.  Burial will follow in Flat Ridge Baptist Church Cemetery.  The family will receive friends on Monday from 12:30 PM until time for the service at New Bethel Baptist Church .  In lieu of flowers donations may be made in honor of Mrs. Busick to New Bethel Baptist Church c/o Rev.
