Carrie Elizabeth "Lib" Leonard

Mrs. Carrie Elizabeth “Lib” Leonard, 82, of Cana, VA, passed away at her home on Saturday, January 9, 2021.  She was born April 27, 1938, in Carroll County, VA, to the late Simon Lee and Mary Eveline Harrell Hiatt.  Mrs. Leonard was a loving mother, grandmother, sister, and friend.  She will be dearly missed by her family.  Mrs. Leonard is survived by three daughters and sons-in-law, Debbie and Darrel Leonard, Terri and Jeff Marsh, and Sherri and Wesley Easter; nine grandchildren; sixteen great-grandchildren; three sisters and two brothers-in-law in law, Estelle Avara, Catherine and Julius Easter, and Joann and Robert Foley; and three brothers and sisters-in-law in law, Junior and Debbie Hiatt, Earl Ray and Angie Hiatt, and Charles and Sharon Hiatt.  In addition to her parents, Mrs. Leonard was preceded in death by her husband, Melvin Leonard; and a son, Kenneth “Kenny” Leonard.  All services are private.  Interment will take place in the Oak Ridge Baptist Church Cemetery.
