Carrie Gilbert Wynn

Ms. Carrie Gilbert Wynn, 56, of Barbourville, KY, passed away Wednesday, May 25, 2011, at the Joan and Howard Woltz Hospice Home in Dobson. She was born September 14, 1954, in Harlan County, KY, to the late Lawrence and Edna Jones Gilbert. She was of the Pentecostal Holiness faith. Surviving are two daughters and sons-in-law, Stacie and Charles Adams of Dobson and Mechelle and Jason Baldridge of Flatwoods, KY; six grandchildren, Zachary Adams, Katelin Noe, Jared Adams, Tiffany Noe, Jacob Baldridge, and Xander Baldridge; five sisters and three brothers-in-law, Joyce and Hyden Curnutt of Greenup, KY, Nancy and Ronnie Williams of Newport, TN, Judy and Robert Keith of Harlan, KY, Betty Napier of Barbourville, KY, and Alice Smith of Chesapeake, VA; and five brothers and four sisters-in-law, Dan and Brenda Gilbert of Louisville, KY, Sie and Vickey Gilbert of North Myrtle Beach, SC, Roger and Pat Gilbert of Whitesburg, KY, Dallas Gilbert of Harlan, KY, and Eddie and Jatana Gilbert of Georgetown, SC. A memorial service was held Wednesday morning, May 25, 2011, at the Joan and Howard Woltz Hospice Home, with the Rev. Stewart Roten officiating. Her cremains will be scattered in the Atlantic Ocean at a later date. The family has requested that, in lieu of flowers, memorials be made to the Joan and Howard Woltz Hospice Home, 945 Zephyr Road, Dobson, NC 27017. Moody-Davis Funeral Home in Dobson is serving the Wynn family.
