Cathy Denise Chamblin

Cathy Denise Chamblin, 58, of Mount Airy, passed away Monday, August 1, 2022, at her home.  She was born March 26, 1964, in Surry County to Rev. Ronnie Leroy Chamblin and Sharon Kay Carson Chamblin.  She was a loving mother, grandmother, daughter, sister and friend who will be missed by all that knew her.  In addition to her parents, Cathy is survived by her daughters, Jessy Payne, McKenzie Collins, Hannah Collins, and Maggie Collins; her grandchildren whom she adored, Carson Tuttle, Aubree Thompson, and Riot Payne; her fiancé, Tommy Diggs; daughter-in-law and son-in-law, Stephanie Payne and Zachary Young; special daughter, Robin Sheets; brother and sister-in-law, Rev. Ron Chamblin, Jr. and wife Lora; nieces and nephews, Lauren and Jared Simpson, Leah and Cody Vestal, and Lindsay and Cody Bond; her great nieces and nephews, Paxton and Callie Simpson, and Colton Bond; and her beloved fur baby, Chancey.  Cathy was preceded in death by her grandparents, Francis and Romney Carson, and Mae and Jim Chamblin.  Funeral services for Ms. Chamblin will be held on Wednesday, August 3, 2022, at 2:00PM at Pinnacle View Baptist Church with the Rev. Ron Chamblin Jr. officiating.  Burial will follow in the church cemetery.  The family will receive friends at the church on Wednesday from 12:00 until 2:00PM.  The family will be gathering at her parents’ home in Pilot Mountain.  Moody Funeral Services in Mount Airy is serving the Chamblin family.
