Cathy Sue Jones Shinault

Mrs. Cathy Sue Jones Shinault, 52, of Dobson, passed away Saturday, August 9, 2014, at Hugh Chatham Memorial Hospital in Elkin. Mrs. Shinault was born May 29, 1962, in Surry County, to Alice Elaine Easter Jones and the late John Lee Jones. She was a homemaker and a member of the Baptist faith. She is survived by her husband, Granville Thomas Ray Shinault, Jr.; a daughter and son-in-law, Tabatha and Matthew Elden Lyons; two sons, Granville Thomas Ray Shinault, III and Thomas Lee Shinault; nine grandchildren; her mother, Alice Elaine Easter Jones; a sister and brother-in-law, Debra and Chris Hall; and a brother and sister-in-law, David Lee and Sandra Cain. A graveside service will be held Wednesday, August 13, 2014, at 2:00 PM at Holly Grove Baptist Church Cemetery, with Pastor Rex Adams officiating. There will be no formal visitation at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers the family has requested that memorials be made to Moody Funeral Services, PO Box 1288, Mt. Airy, NC 27030 to assist with the funeral expenses.
