Cayden Brian Harrell

Cayden Brian Harrell, 7, of Fancy Gap, VA, passed away unexpectedly on Saturday afternoon, May 28, 2016, at Northern Hospital of Surry County in Mount Airy. Cayden was born April 22, 2009, in Forsyth County, to Daniel Brian Harrell and Sydney Brooke Leftwich. Cayden was a second grade student at Hillsville Elementary School. He is survived by his mother, Sydney Brooke Leftwich of Mount Airy; his father and stepmother, Daniel Brian Harrell and Rhonda Atkins of Fancy Gap, VA; a twin sister, Kaylie May Harrell of Fancy Gap, VA; a brother, Haven Harrell of Fancy Gap, VA; his maternal grandparents, A.W. Leftwich, III and Shannon Hawks Leftwich of Mount Airy; his paternal grandparents, Edward and Lisa Harrell of Fancy Gap, VA; his maternal great-grandmother, Edna Johnson Hawks of Mount Airy; his maternal great-grandfathers, A.W. Leftwich, Jr. of Dobson and Paul Hawks, Jr. of Stephen City, VA; and a special friend, Lisa Tilley Corns of Pilot Mountain. A service to celebrate Cayden’s life will be held Wednesday, June 1, 2016, at 4:00 PM at Anchored in Jesus Baptist Church, with the Rev. Larry Stone officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends Wednesday from 3:00 until 4:00 PM at Anchored in Jesus Baptist Church. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Moody Funeral Services, P.O. Box 1288, Mount Airy, NC 27030, to assist the family with the funeral expenses. Moody Funeral Services in Mount Airy is serving the family.
