Cecilia "Candy" Bowman

Ms. Cecilia "Candy" Bowman, 49, of Mt. Airy passed away Saturday, July 26, 2014 at Forsyth Medical Center in Winston Salem. She was born in Patrick County on June 26, 1965 to the late Cecil and Barbara Gillespie Bowman. Ms. Bowman was a homemaker. She is survived by a daughter and son-in-law, Christan and Jamie Vanhoy of Mt. Airy; three grandchildren, Alexis, Elizabeth, and Christopher Vanhoy; two sisters and brother-in-law, Lena and Tony Trent of Stuart, VA, Vickie Bowman of Woolwine, VA; Many nieces and nephews; special friends, Tommy and Sharon Bowman of Mt. Airy. In addition to her parents Ms. Bowman was preceded in death by a grandchild, Hunter Bentley Vanhoy; a sister, Eurlace Marie Bowman; a brother, Haywood Bowman. Funeral services will be held Tuesday, July 29, 2014 at 2:00 PM at Moody Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. David Bowman officiating. Burial will follow in Hills Grove Baptist Church Cemetery.
