Celia Lou Mabe

Mrs. Celia Lou Jones Mabe, 73, of Mt. Airy passed away Saturday, May 21, 2022, at Surry Community Health and Rehabilitation.  She was born in Surry County on December 8, 1948, to the late Jim and Rosella Fulk Jones.  Mrs. Mabe attended Pine Ridge Baptist Church and was a loving homemaker who will be dearly missed.  She is survived by a daughter, Tina Holt and Jimmy McCraw; a son and daughter-in-law, James Robert Mabe and Crystal; six grandchildren; eight great grandchildren; sisters, Pansy Tilley, Frances Odum, and Rosie Jones; brothers, Denny Jones, and Charles Jones; many nieces and nephews.  In addition to her parents, Mrs. Mabe was preceded in death by her husband, Franklin Donald Mabe; a daughter, Melissa Dawn Holder; brothers, Walter Jones, Henry Jones, and Lewis Jones; a brother-in-law, Joseph Tilley.  A funeral service will be held Wednesday, May 25, 2022, at 2:00 PM at Moody Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Johnny Johnson officiating.  Burial will follow in Antioch Baptist Church Cemetery.  The family will receive friends Wednesday from 1:00 until 2:00 PM at Moody Funeral Home in Mt.
